Michelle founded Silverwinds Flute Choir in September 2012, having both played in, and directed, numerous flute ensembles for many years. The aim of the ensemble is to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for players of varying standards and, for those who would like to, provide an opportunity to play the larger alto and bass flutes.

Silverwinds play a range of musical styles including modern and well known repertoire specially written and arranged for flute ensemble. There are several opportunities to perform each year including playing as part of Michelle’s Pupil Music Celebration, Festive Flutes and Friends concert and providing Christmas Carols at Christ the King Church’s Christmas Fayre.

They are a relaxed and friendly group and new members are always welcome. No auditions are required to join, only that you are grade 3 standard and above!
